You are definately right about his leaving you. I could never imagine leaving any of my children but most especially not my first child just for a relationship, and even if he did have to leave your mother that is absolutely no excuse for pretty much abandoning you. Luckily your mother is a wonderful lady and tried to make it sound as though he left not because of you, but seeing how he acts with his other children would destroy me. What a shit. They are married only by paper, nothing else. They lead pretty separate lives, and argue every time they are in the room together, and as for staying together 'for the children' they made all of us messed up being together. I think marriage can work if you both want it to work, but not when it is more work than good times together.
